Bill Jehle: Artist,

Bill Jehle (yaylee) was born in El Centro, California, where he worked for his father’s architecture firm as a surveyor in the desert along the Mexican border and in the fields. He went to art school at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Cal Arts in the early seventies and Cooper Union in New York.

Jehle owned the West Los Angeles landmark PARIS AUDIO and for many years designed the leading edge of mobile entertainment systems for Wealthy west side car freaks. He designed and manufactured audio systems for Lamborghini of America and AMG as well as patented mobile solutions for MOPAR that were included as production accessories on JEEP vehicles. Experienced in AutoCAD and CATIA also expert with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and SketchUP. He knows how to make things and how to get things made.

He has lived and practiced in New York, Santa Barbara and the Los Angeles area. He currently lives in Topanga, California and divides his time between his studio there, his cabin in southern Colorado and his family’s farm in Cedar County Missouri. His work can be seen in numerous private collections in Los Angeles and Houston such as Patricia Correia, Neil Menzies, Armando Duron, Ann Janss, Kristina Newhouse and Jack Rutberg, and in corporate collections including Loews Hotel in Santa Monica, the Grand Hyatt Waillea and the Bank of America-Security Pacific Collection.
